The Prize of the Oceanographic Society of Japan was awarded to Prof. Toshi Nagata.

The award-winning subject is “Research on the role of microbial and viral communities in carbon and nitrogen circulation in the ocean.”

Award ceremony was held at Makuhari Messe on May 21.
