Water samplings were carried out on board the R/V Shinsei-maru cruise (KS-16-1) between 16th and 22nd of March 2016.
Fifteen sampling stations were occupied along the Sanriku-coast of the northeastern Japan, including the regions near Otsuch, Kamaishi and Onagawa Bays. The purpose of this research is to investigate the spatial and temporal variations in the radiocarbon content of dissolved inorganic carbon in seawater of the Sanriku region.
